Independence Day yesterday on the 4th July which we used as a reminder to shop independent businesses, shop local in Rozelle – help keep our high street strong and vibrant!
(And another national event – Bastille Day is coming up on the 14th – Liberte, Equalite, Fraternite – again it’s all about coming together for the greater good! ) We certainly have our share of wonderful French patisseries to celebrate all things culinary – C’est Bon, Labancz and Victoire Boulangerie !
Penny Lane has a delicious new menu – how does chargrilled spatchcock and oven roasted rack of lamb sound? Followed by Profiteroles?
The Corner Bar has a reputation for creating a Martini for every occasion and they haven’t disappointed us now – you can try their Spiced Apple Martini and if you’re feeling like something more savoury, why not try their BBQ Prawn (Bloody) Mary in the colours of Christmas!
The Bean is famous for its unusual lamington flavours and is not disappointing us this time around – how about Christmas Pudding Lamingtons? Have you ever tasted one? Here’s your chance to try one…. and of course there has to be mulled wine to accompany their fabulous food and help us get into the spirit!
And we have a revolution of ethical food – free ranging, grass fed creatures and eco sourced fish for the table, organically grown foods and real genuine food. We have the whole cross section of delicious wholesome through to beautiful indulgent ! And we have interesting food with all sorts of cultural influences.
