This workshop introduces students to the technique of gelatine plate monotype printing, a fun, easy method of printmaking that does not require a press. Using Matisse Flow and Matisse Open medium, prints will be be produced that resemble several traditional printmaking techniques. Students will be introduced to some of the many methods of printing from gelatine plates, including working with stencils, direct painting, working with textured and natural materials, multiple-stage printing and more.
