THE FIRE TRIBUTE MURAL
There was a tragic event in Rozelle in early September 2014 which rocked our community – some six months ago – with the effects still felt.
Three people, Chris Noble and Bianca and Jude O’Brien, very sadly lost their lives in an explosion and fire in the early hours of the morning.
The ripple effect of the event was far reaching. A mural depicting the three people and the care and love Rozelle has shown in the aftermath of the event has been completed by artist, Patrick O’Rourke. It is a very moving tribute to the three victims. It is located on Darling Street between Victoria Road and the roundabout, painted on the hoardings around the site where three buildings were demolished as a result of the explosion and blaze.
