There are lots of creative, arty crafty things to enjoy in Rozelle on weekends during the month of March and certain other times in our community.
The LOST ART TRAIL in the middle of the month organised by Leichhardt Council will enable visitors to our area to enjoy tours of participating studio’s and galleries.

Enjoy our creative community with its boutique shops and unique stores with specialty food, gifts, homewares, skin and body treatments and more… from indulgent treats through to healthy lifestyle offerings….
ENJOYING ART GALLERIES: We have several galleries which are great to explore – all on Darling Street – the ‘high street’ which runs through Rozelle – from Artereal Gallery, Kate Owen Gallery, Tali Gallery down one end through to our outdoor mural on the site of the recent fire. And a visit to Tania Wursig’s Art Studio is always worth a visit! You can collect art supplies from Tilly’s Art and Office Supplies near the main square.
DRESSING CREATIVELY: Our boutiques carry specialised clothing and other treasures – so you can look uniquely different and enjoy dressing creatively! Look out for Embellish Atellier Millinery on Victoria Road near the Darling Street junction, Tali Gallery for Indigenous silks, jewellery and accessories, Bella Emporio and Precious Trinkets and Treasures which are treasure troves; Quirkee Birds and Life Adorned also on Darling Street and the Back Room Designer Outlet (address on this website).
CREATIVE CULINARY CLASSES, INGREDIENTS AND EATING OUT: You can hone your creative cooking skills and enjoying making culinary delights with help from The Essential Ingredient, Herbies, The Cooks Grocer, Darling Street Meats and our Green Grocers. You can dine out at our interesting array of restaurants such as Penny Lane, Love Fish, Nithiks, Le Grande Bouffe, Next on Darling (on Friday nights) or enjoy innovative breakfasts and lunches in our cafes (including Piccolo’s, The Bean, the Local, Rozelle Espresso and the Fig and Olive) and also find super healthy, organic (Iku, Ungaro, About Life and Egg of the Universe) or exotic and different – people eating out in Rozelle are spoilt for choice – where the food is always creative. There are also numerous very good Thai restaurants including Twenty One Thai.
CREATIVE INDULGENCES: There are several famous and very creative Patisseries with exceptional and delicious offerings, several included in The Urban List – Labancz, Adriano Zumbo, Victoire, C’est Bon. We are also fortunate to have Bellingen Gelato and Belle Fleur chocolates in our midst ! Lots of temptations (and fortunately several healthy places to have a follow up ‘good day’!).
RELAXING OVER A DRINK WITH MUSIC: You can mix and mingle with locals and enjoy innovative and interesting cocktails at The Corner Bar – reknowned for its remarkable Martini’s – there’s one for every occasion (even a Detox Martini)! Several of our pubs have drawcard restaurants – including the Three Weeds, the Welcome Hotel, and the Garry Owen Hotel and then the Sackville, the Merton, the Red Lion and the Bridge are well known for their entertainment and relaxed atmosphere and food.
REPURPOSING AND RECYCLING CREATIVELY: The local Rozelle Markets are famous for bric a brac and there’s a good sized Vinnies for those seeking a bargain and wanting to creatively integrate and repurpose their offerings into their lives.
It is a relaxed easy going and very friendly community and you’re welcome to visit!
